MYTEK PROS / CONNECTED OPERATIONS

Powered Edge Networks

Build the network and power foundation for cameras and other edge devices.

01 / THE OPPORTUNITY

Plan network capacity and device power together.

Organized Ethernet patch cables and switches in a network rack.

IT teams, facilities managers and video-system owners

Adding devices can quietly exceed a switch’s power or uplink capacity. Cable condition, distance, surge exposure and cabinet power also affect reliability. The service turns the connection plan into a tested port map and a clear record of capacity limits.

A scoped service can plan Ethernet links, power-over-network budgets, uplinks and cabinet layout so the connected system has a documented installation to rely on.

  • Make installation and fault finding more straightforward.
  • Avoid assuming every port can provide the same power under all conditions.
  • Provide a clear basis for later expansion.

A DEFINED SERVICE SCOPE

What Mytek Pros can help deliver.

For camera and edge-device networks in San Diego and elsewhere in California, Mytek Pros can review endpoint power, switch capacity, uplinks, cabling and cabinet layout. Load testing and a documented port map provide a basis for fault finding and expansion. Electrical installation and ongoing support are confirmed during discovery.

Explore service planning for San Diego and California projects. Installation, handover and ongoing support are agreed during discovery for the selected equipment and site.

View planned service deliverables
  • Inventory endpoint power, port and bandwidth requirements.
  • Select appropriate switch, uplink and power configurations.
  • Document cabling, labels, cabinet layout and permitted network separation.
  • Test endpoint operation under expected load and record spare capacity.

THE RECORD YOU KEEP

Your reporting scope.

A proposed network handover report can include the port schedule, power budget, test results and expansion constraints. Ongoing port counters, remote power cycling or per-device consumption reporting require equipment with those specific managed features; they are not assumed from a basic switch.

Operating boundaries

Power and distance limits are model-specific. A basic power-over-Ethernet switch is not automatically a managed security platform. Electrical work and protective design require appropriately qualified installation.

04 / DISCOVERY & DESIGN

Before installation.

Confirm compatibility, placement and operating responsibilities for your site.

What we’ll work through

  • Endpoint power standards and real consumption requirements
  • Selected switch model, uplink speed and total power budget
  • Suitable cabling, electrical supply and surge design
  • Managed telemetry only if supported and explicitly included
